His 109 points in his first four starts is the most by an N.B.A. player since the league absorbed four A.B.A. teams in 1976; Allen Iverson had the previous high of 101.
If you read some of Lin's background you'd realize he's not a fluke. He's from a basketball-loving family. He has a real love and passion for the game. My hope is that he turns out to be a Steve Nash. He has the midrange shot, not a bad three pointer and he could dish out assists. Not as good as Nash but he can get there. Notice how Chandler is more energetic and effective offensively? That's as a result of playing with a good point guard. I hope the fans stay behind Lin and do not turn on him the minute he's going through a couple bad games. When Carmelo and Amare return Lin's assists should be elevated. Still don't know how they beat the Lakers. Apart from Lin where did the rest of the offense come from?
I saw a couple of posts where people are knocking Carmelo and Amare. This is what I dislike about NY fans. They're impatient and turn on players too quickly. Carmelo and Amare are struggling because there is no point guard. Now Lin is proving to be more than a flash in the pan they're trash talking Carmelo and Amare. Well, close to that anyway. One fan even mentioned trading Amare and Douglas for Kevin Love. What's wrong with you guys. When Lin has a few bad games down the road are they going to turn on him too? What bothers me is Lin was sitting on the end of that bench for quite a while. Why wasn't any of the talent he's shown as a starter noticed in practice by any of the coaches? Had he never got a chance to start he'd still be rotting on that bench and nobody would ever know him. How many more guys of Lin's caliber (not necessarily point guards) are rotting away on that bench.
Lin has lifted up the team and made everyone a fan of him. He's humble and has a drive to succeed, that's why everyone respects and supports him. He's exactly what this team needed.
actually you could see it in that road-game against Bobcats some time ago. He came in 4th guarter and played great. This is how pointguard should play and make team better. Funny also, Chandler said "i didnt know he could dunk" . And first clip on this video he dunks :)
Who knows what Lin will be. But he does seem like he has that fire to succeed and is willing to put in the work to be a better player. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" - Kevin Durant.
knicks band wagons? I think you misunderstand, a lot of us were houston fans yesterday, and Golden State the day before that. A lot of us are Lin fans who cheered lin the moment he touched the ball back when he was still in the warriors. Now we are here cheering him on as he lifts the Knicks from a slump.
I am feeling good about this team right now. I can't waite for Melo and Stat to return. Our starting 5 can hang with anybody. Shump should start in my opinion and Fields should be coming off the bench. This is our best unit!
Lin-sanity. He's amazing with seeing the whole floor, knowing where the shooters are and just plain old penetrating. If we go far in the post season its gonna be because of this kid

dude has natural talent. crazy that two teams passed up on him without giving him much of a try. wish the knicks used him quicker, too. looking forward to seeing him develop with the knicks!
This kid is the real deal! His humilty is heart-warming. Melo's solute to him was serious and my favorite part of this piece. When he split the two nets and made the hoop Carmelo's body language said to me that we have found our point guard and that Lin has his respect. John Starks came the same way.
Lin is very strong mentally. I read online thathe has endured a lot of racial remarks during his college days. It was so much that he said he was used to it. It is such a good thing that he did not let ignorant comments about him stop him or affect his desire to make the NBA. Good going Lin.
