The Knicks were up by 17 with a little over five minutes remaining in the game when Coach Woodson decided to give his starters a rest for the remainder of the game. Over the next four and a half minutes, Philadelphia cut the lead to just two points, which sparked a timeout from the Knicks and the reinsertion of the starters for the final 30 seconds of the game.
The Knicks will need reliable depth if they're going to continue this strong fight for a playoff spot and this performance from the bench made the victory a lot closer than it should have been.
