The Knicks and Brooklyn Nets joined the rest of the NBA in honoring civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through participating in a Monday matinee at The Garden. Despite strong performances from Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith, a late second half rally by the Orange and Blue came up short in a 103-80 loss.
As the Knicks' crosstown rivals evened up the season series at a game apiece, here are five things to take away from New York’s showdown with Brooklyn.
