The Knicks opened the year with their best victory of the season by defeating the San Antonio Spurs in their own house, 105-101. The Knicks got two outstanding performances from Carmelo Anthony and a re-energized Iman Shumpert as they hung tough with one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
