Crisp Ball Movement Followed By Made Shots

The Knicks entered their first game of 2014 with a clear willingness to get each other open shots. The Spurs are a very disciplined defensive team so New York really had to earn all its points.
This hard work was seen in both their offensive sets and improvisations. In the second half, we saw a particularly nice possession where Carmelo Anthony initiated a pick-and-pop with Andrea Bargnani who, after receiving the ball, quickly recognized the frantic defensive rotation and passed to an open Iman Shumpert to knock down the three. It seems the 2014 Knicks may have made a joint resolution to move the ball and hopefully they keep their resolution throughout their Texas road trip and beyond.
