The Knicks outlasted the Bucks in double overtime on Wednesday night, picking up their eighth win of the season. With Boston's home loss to Detroit, New York now finds itself just three games behind the Celtics for the division lead. The Nets also lost at home meaning the Knicks are only a game back of their cross-river rival. The 'Bockers have now won three of their last five and with Tyson Chandler returning are poised to finally make a run up the Eastern Conference standings.
It may not have been the prettiest game with the best execution, but the Knicks did what they had to do to grind out a road win. Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, and Beno Udrih all played more than 40 minutes, while Chandler gutted out 37 tough minutes in his first game since November 5th. Luckily, New York has two full days off before an early tip on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Here are Five Takeaways from the marathon in Milwaukee.
