Recap: Knicks Fall Behind Boston Early, Lose 114-73

How it happened:

After two straight convincing wins, the Knicks came back down to earth against the Atlantic Division-leading Celtics. They fell behind, 10-0, right out of the gate, and struggled to fight back the rest of the way.

Like the Knicks did to Brooklyn and Orlando in the two previous games, Boston caught fire and New York was unable to match the Celts' assault on the basket. The visitors shot 54 percent from the field and 56 percent from downtown in the game that was never really close.

After dishing out 49 assists in the last two games, the Knicks struggled with ball movement, manufacturing only 13 this afternoon.

Knick of the Night:

Amar'e Stoudemire was efficient on offense, making five of his seven shot attempts on his way to 17 points in the game. His play in the first half impressed Coach Mike Woodson enough to start him in the second.

Looking Ahead:

The Knicks will head to Cleveland to face the Cavs on Tuesday before returning to MSG to play Chicago on Wednesday.
