The Knicks absolutely whitewashed the Nets on Thursday night, 113-83, using crisp ball movement and a balanced attack to destroy their cross-river rivals in their own gym. Carmelo Anthony delivered a complete performance, hanging 19 points, yanking down 10 rebounds and dishing six assists.
As a team, the Knicks were hot from deep all game long. They hit 12 more three-pointers than their city counterparts and 15 more field goals.
On an individual level, several Knicks players played some of their best basketball of the season. Andrea Bargnani, Iman Shumpert, Raymond Felton, and Amar'e Stoudemire all played central roles in the Knicks dismantling of the Nets.
