Exactly. When Lin's on the floor, he runs the pick-and-roll on nearly 50% of his plays. He keeps the ball moving constantly.

Yes. Since Melo left Denver, the ball seems to move alot more in their offense. The Nuggets currently have the 3rd best record in the NBA since the trade. What does that tell you ? Since Melo has been on the sidelines, suddenly the ball is moving again witht he Knicks. The problem doesn't get any more obvious than that. Although, if he could just embrace the system and become 1/5 of the pie instead of the whole pie, the team would be dangerous with his talents.

Take one smart, young PG who was just about to be out of the NBA. Add one desperate coach who ordinarily would have overlooked him, but was at the end of his rope. Remember that said coach has a knack for making smart PGs better than they were before they met him. (Say what you will about MDA -- this is one thing he has always excelled at. Nash pre-MDA: 12.5 PPG, 6.0 APG. Nash post-MDA: 16.6 PPG, 10.9 APG. Steve Nash wasn't even sniffing MVP candidate before he hooked up with MDA.) I think Lin is the kind of guy who gets a lot better at the point under MDA. He can run the P&R, he has a 3pt shot, he penetrates with his head up looking to pass, and he can finish around the rim. These two might have both gotten exceptionally lucky to find each other just when they did. Plus -- word is Lin was beating the Baron pretty handily in practice. Barring injury, I think Lin is going to start every remaining game for the Knicks. And I think they are going to start getting their act together. All Lin really has to do is distribute well -- something no other Knicks PG has been able to do. If he does that and scores in double figures to boot? Say hello to the team no one will want to draw in the first round of the playoffs. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this team reel off 8 in a row at some point in the second half of the season.

For real, in a video on this site D'Antoni was saying that he didn't know if J.Lin could pass, or shoot or play defense. If that's the case why didn't he ask to see some video of why they decided to pick him up. Or was he just happy that they didn't get Nate?
