Knicks No Match For Spurs Offense In Sunday Matinee

How it happened:

The Spurs proved yet again why they've been so successful for the past two decades this afternoon at Madison Square Garden. Committed to spacing the floor and working for the highest quality shot, they shot 54 percent from the field and 43 percent from three en route to a 31-point rout of the Knicks.

Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani paced the Knicks in scoring for the second straight game, but their 16 points apiece weren't nearly enough to combat San Antonio's disciplined attack.

Knick of the Night:

Anthony. In addition to his 16 points (on 5-of-10 shooting), Melo continued his strong work on the boards, pulling down eight more rebounds in this one.

Looking Ahead:

The Knicks will practice for the next few days before playing in Atlanta on Wednesday. That will be the first night of a back-to-back, with a Thursday showdown with the Rockets at the Garden looming on Thursday.
