Knicks Dish: Teammates And Coaches Address Chandler's Injury

By Nicholas Ranieri, Knicks Fan Since '80

With the news that Tyson Chandler will miss 4-6 weeks with a leg injury, the Knicks got to work on Thursday preparing for tonight's rematch with Charlotte.

Chandler took some time to speak with the media about his broken fibula after practice: “I’m obviously disappointed I can’t be out there for my team but all things being said, I think if it was going to be an injury, at least it’s this one and not anything worse. Hopefully I can get back in a month or so.”

Coach Woodson shared his plan to fill the void: “It’s going to be a total team effort. I said this all along, injuries occur throughout the course of a season. Guys that don’t get an opportunity to play at the particular position, they got to step up and play.”
