Tyson Chandler went down seven minutes into Tuesday's loss, putting the Knicks in a hole early. Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points, but it just wasn't enough. Led by Bronx native Kemba Walker, Charlotte was able to score 102 points and hold on at the end to win the game.
At 1-3, the Knicks are hardly out of the race. It's early and they are still working in a lot of new parts. With another game against the Bobcats on Friday, New York will have another good opportunity to get these pieces to gel together and get back in the winning column.
Here are my five takeaways from the game:
