The Knicks started off strong in Sunday night’s showdown visiting Minnesota, but with Carmelo Anthony hampered by early foul trouble, the Timberwolves went on a huge run to take control of the contest in the first half. New York staged a furious second-half rally, but came up short in a 109-100 loss at the Garden.

Despite the setback, New York saw some strong performances from the usual suspects as they tried to fight their way back in the game after Minnesota built a double-digit lead. Here are my takeaways from the Knicks’ tough loss to the Timberwolves and how it can prepare them for their home-and-home series with the Bobcats this week.
