After opening at home against Milwaukee, the Knicks hit the road for a nationally-televised showdown with the Eastern Conference rival Bulls. On Halloween night New York premiered its new alternative orange jerseys in front of a Chicago crowd that was fired up for Derrick Rose's first regular season home game since tearing his ACL over a year ago.
As expected, the game was a grind. The Knicks struggled to score, especially in the first half, but mounted a rally down the stretch. Despite taking a lead in the final minutes of the game, the Knicks came up one point short on a Rose floater in the final seconds.
