Knicks Dish: Teammates Praise Hardaway, Look Forward To Toronto

The preseason officially kicked off on Wednesday with a matchup against the Boston Celtics. Most of the starters logged about 20 minutes during the game and played well. But it was Tim Hardaway Jr. who stole the show by hitting the game-winning jumper with 8.2 seconds left. Check the All-Access highlights from the game!

It was back to work on Thursday as the Knicks got ready for their second preseason game, tonight against the Toronto Raptors.

Andrea Bargnani makes his return to Toronto to face the team that drafted him with the first overall pick back in 2006. He looked back on his time with the Raptors after yesterday's practice: “Well of course it’s strange coming to Toronto, I played here for seven years and that’s a long time so yeah it’s a strange feeling. Well, of course I play for New York, so I definitely feel like a New York Knick.”

Hardaway posted this picture on Instagram before the game before going on to score 16 points in 25 minutes:Although Kenyon Martin didn’t play in the first preseason game, he Tweeted his excitement for the season to start.

Metta World Peace took some ribbing for his choice to wear purple and gold shoes during the first preseason game, but he let the fans know that his Knicks shoes are coming soon.

He also shared his respect for two of the Knicks' biggest stars.

Chris Smith fought back from last year’s season ending injury and was feeling blessed to have the opportunity to play his first game in a Knicks uniform on Thursday.
