Knicks Dish: Welcome Udrih and New Styles For JR, Shump, Metta?

By Nick Ranieri, Knicks Fan Since 1980

The Knicks made another splash in free agency on Thursday when it was announced that the team had officially come to terms on a contract with Beno Udrih. It was a move that provided depth, insurance, and most importantly, veteran leadership at the point guard position.

Udrih has been in the league since 2004 and averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 66 games between the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic last season. “Beno is a solid addition to our backcourt where he will give us more depth and flexibility,” Grunwald said. Find out more about the Udrih signing.
