Knicks Dish: Melo Takes Up Baseball?

Pablo Prigioni joined up with NBA Cares over the weekend in Buenos Aires, Argentina to participate in NBA Without Borders, a global basketball development program designed to foster skill building, drills, social responsibility lessons, and neighborhood development. Prigioni and other NBA players were selected based on their basketball skills, leadership abilities, and dedication to the sport to teach daily life-skills seminars on values such as leadership, character development, and living a healthy lifestyle. Click here for more information on NBA Without Borders. 

Carmelo Anthony continued the Jordan Flight Tour by throwing out the first pitch along with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul at a Taiwanese baseball game. It looks like hooping isn’t the only talent that Melo possesses after watching him throw one right over the plate in this video.

Tim Hardaway Jr. traveled back to Michigan over the weekend to hang out with some campers at the Michigan Basketball Camp. Despite being a first-round draft pick, Hardaway took the opportunity to keep learning, as he posted this on his Twitter account: “Health, Relationships, Passion, Necessity, Giving.... 5 things I learned today that can help you have a successful life”. Andrea Bargnani took some time on Sunday to thank his fans on Twitter for showing up in Folgaria to support his team in the Euro Basket 2013. Bargnani proclaimed, “Grazie a tutti i tifosi che vengono a sostenerci qui a Folgaria / thanks to all the fans that show up every day in Folgaria."

Pablo Prigioni posted this picture on his Twitter account along with the following caption, “I am very happy to be part of NBA without borders in Buenos Aires, we are having a great time here!!” 

J.R. Smith posted a video on his Instagram account over the weekend from the Knicks Summer Camp at Baruch College. He and his brother Chris were able to provide advice and guidance to children interested in the sport of basketball. Watch the video!
