Once upon a time, Cody Zeller was the prohibitive choice to receive the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. However, a solid not stellar 2012-13 campaign placed some question marks around the big man out of Indiana. Charlotte decided to pass on Ben McLemore, Nerlens Noel, and Alex Len en route to drafting the near 7-foot sophomore.
The Bobcats landed one of the most productive players in college basketball as Zeller averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds last season. He also swatted 1.3 blocks per outing for the Hoosiers. Zeller is terrific athlete that works well in the open floor and can score in a multitude of ways around the rim.
In the final game before tournament action, the Knicks bigs will square off against Zeller on Monday at 4 PM eastern time. The Bobcats also feature Bismack Biyombo and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, two lottery picks from last year on a talented Summer League roster that should offer a competitive contest on MSG Networks.
