NEW YORK, June 27, 2013 – The New York Knickerbockers have drafted Tim Hardaway, Jr. with the 24th overall selection, in the first round, of the 2013 NBA Draft.
Hardaway, 6-6, 205-pounds, was an early entry candidate for the 2013 NBA Draft who played three seasons with Michigan University to average 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 107 games. The Miami, FL-native helped the Wolverines advance to the 2013 NCAA Tournament Finals versus Louisville. He finished his collegiate career ranked 18th on the school’s all-time scoring list and sixth in three-point goals. As a sophomore, Hardaway helped the team to the school’s first Big Ten title in 26 years. He is the son of five-time NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway, Sr.
