When Kirilenko was selected 24th overall by the Utah Jazz in '99, he became the youngest European player ever drafted to the NBA at just 18 years old. He played for two more years in Russia before coming over to play his rookie NBA season in 2001.
He was named to the All-NBA Rookie First Team, averaging 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. With the combination of his unique height for a small forward (6-9) and a huge wingspan with elastic arms, Kirilenko was almost instantly became one of the league's toughest defenders. He's been selected to the NBA All-Defensive Team three times (first team once, second team twice) and is a one-time All-Star.
In 11 NBA seasons, Kirilenko has career averages of 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.
