5. Opening Night at MSG – November 2, 2012


Following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy, fans around the New York Metropolitan area needed something to cheer about. Hearing the call, Anthony and the new-look Knicks opened the season against the defending champion Miami Heat, and put on a show.

The home team came out firing early and often, torching Miami with an impressive display of three-point shooting and tight defense. By the end of the night, Melo had upstaged LeBron James with a 30-point performance, including 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc, to get the Knicks off on the right track.
