Shumpert’s All-Around Game

With J.R. Smith unavailable, Iman Shumpert stepped up in a big way for the Knicks. Playing 44 minutes, Shumpert chipped in 12 points, and pulled down a team-leading 12 rebounds. He also had two steals and two blocks. Shumpert harassed Jeff Green and Paul Pierce in the half-court, and his playmaking on that end mirrored what Felton was busy doing on the offensive end.

It will important for Shumpert to play with the same intensity when some of his shots will find their way back into J.R. Smith’s hands. If he does, Coach Woodson may have an important X-factor as the Knicks advance through the Eastern Conference.
