Carmelo Anthony continues his march toward the NBA scoring title. He extended his scoring streak of scoring 35 or more to five games with 36 points in only 31 minutes. This tied a franchise record set by one of Anthony's personal heroes, newly-minted Hall-of-Famer, Bernard King.
By the middle of the third quarter, the Knicks had quelled a brief Wizards rally and had a comfortable, 19-point lead. But with the game seemingly in hand, Melo stayed in the game until the end of the period, happily leading his team to the milestone victory.
