A lot has been made of the Knicks’ propensity for the three ball this season. They’re currently second in three-point attempts (Houston number one), and eighth in three-point percentage. When the threes are falling, the lane opens up for Anthony and Chandler. When those same shots aren’t going down, it becomes easier for defenses to pack the paint, and generate fast breaks off of misses. This season, the Knicks have connected on 39.2% of the three-point attempts in their 37 wins, but 32.7% in 22 losses.
In order for New York to overtake Indiana, and make a push at Miami for the top overall seed, the three-point shot will have to keep falling.
