Rebounding
What the Knicks did on the glass earlier in the season allowed them to get off to a hot start. For his career, Kenyon Martin averages 7.1 rebounds a game, 5.3 of those being on the defensive end.
The Knicks are ranked 29th in total rebounds this season, so adding Martin should immediately offer a helping hand to Tyson Chandler, who has, at times, had to shoulder much of the rebounding burden alone. Chandler averages 11.1 rebounds per game, but the next closest is Carmelo Anthony at 6.5 per game.
