By posting 20 rebounds for the third consecutive game, Tyson Chandler became the first Knick since the great Willis Reed to accomplish that feat. Reed did so in December of 1969, the year he led the New York Knicks to their first NBA championship.
No Knick has ever managed to make it to a fourth straight game with 20 or more rebounds. However, Coach Woodson expects that to change. In his post-game interview, Woodson said “[Tyson] can’t tease me. I’m expecting that fourth game.”
