6. Kidd-Smith-Anthony-Stoudemire-Chandler

How have they done?  +20.9 in 36 minutes together.

Why does it work?  This unit does arguably the two things that most directly correlate to winning: they protect the ball and they shoot lights-out from 3.  Among the units that qualified for this list, they have the best 3-point shooting percentage (52.6) and commit the 2nd-fewest turnovers per 48 minutes (6.2).

It's the only lineup on here that includes Stoudemire, and one might think that such a prolific shooting group might be one with 'Melo at the 4.  But it would also make sense that Stoudemire's presence around the paint attracts attention that creates space for Kidd, Smith and Anthony on the perimeter.  We should be seeing more of this group going forward now that Stoudemire is back.
