NEW YORK, June 28, 2012 – The New York Knicks have drafted forward Kostas Papanikolaou from Greece with the 48th overall selection in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft.
Papanikolaou, 6-8, 225-pounds, is a member of the Greek National Team and the 2012 Euroleague champion Olympiacos. A four-year professional, the Trikala native scored a career-high 18 points against Moscow on May 13 in the Euroleague championship game and was named MVP.
